Biography

Born and raised in NYC, in a Sicilian-American family, Linda Jo Rizzo’s first career dream was modeling, which she began in NYC as a runway model and then as a high fashion print and TV model in Milan and Lisbon. Linda’s first „hobby“ music contract was with Italian-Pop group „Flora, Fauna e Cemento“ (Sugar Music) then with the La Bionda brothers for DD Sound (Baby Records) and last as background singer for an Adriano Celentano tour.

At the age of 23 Linda follows her second dream and returns to NY to study nutrition at Queens College.

Through her old connections in Milan, Linda meets Bobby Orlando in NYC (Divine, Pet Shop Boys) and joins the girl group, „The Flirts“ (Passion #4 in Germany, Danger, Calling All Boys) which brings her then on tour to Germany and Europe where she has an offer to go solo.

Linda leaves The Flirts in 1985 to persue her third dream of a solo career with her first producer „Fancy“, a famous 80’s star himself (Slice Me Nice, Lady Of Ice, Bolero), and enters several European, Asian and South American dance charts (Fly Me High, You’re My First, You’re My Last #2 in Hong Kong, Heartflash). Her songs appear on the infamous „Italo Boot Mixes“ and brought her numerous TV appearances on ZDF, ARD, SAT1, Pro7, ORF, RTL among others.

Today Linda Jo Rizzo’s PASSION for the stage continues in her LIVE shows, Galas and international events. She captures audiences around the world with her charisma, entertainment and temperament, earning her the title of „Power Lady“ and „Disco Queen“.

Through her career, Linda has also had the pleasure to perform as opening act to great stars such as, Bonnie Tyler, George McCrae, The Weather Girls, Carl Douglas, The Platters, Albano, Umberto Tozzi, Sandra, Silent Circle, Alphaville, Gazebo, Fancy, Bad Boys Blue, Francesco Napoli, CC Catch, Dieter Bohlen’s Blue System, and many more……..
